I have found a partial solution for the installer. Is posted as well in the NG OK guys This is a workaround I found today for those of you who have problems with the video cards during install. Note. This WILL NOT WORK IF the CD is BEEING EJECTED. This will work if you have a garbled screen or no video at all. So the idea is:The Corel install is running in terminal2 -tty2. So when you got the first unreadable screen(that will be the license one) press CTRL ALT F1. you get to a shell prompt(console,terminal..whatever you want to call it) LINUX is CASE SENSITIVE so type everything as you see here. type xf86config choose your mouse the devices are for serial COM1= /dev/ttyS0 COM2= /dev/ttyS1 PS2 = /dev/psaux At the monitor choose for now VGA(I know it's crappy but will do for install) At the video card when prompted enter 327 (this is the Generic VGA) choose color VGA_16 enter the RAM amount of video card say NO to KBD and Ascii mapping Don't probe You will want the installer to modify the symlinks(say YES) say Yes to save type startx now you'll get at the license screen with the inside blank(no text) since the text for this is running on tty2 and you're now in tty7 Now click agree and finish install. after reboot hold SHIFT and choose the console (alternate boot normal and after you changed the passwords and you have a desktop-crappy look again in 640X480 and 16 colors) press CTRL ALT F1(use the CTRL and LEFT on the RIGHT side of your keyboard) login as root type XF86Setup CASE SENSITIVE remember now you can play with the settings and options till you'll have the card properly configured.it's graphical so should be easy. when it's configured type reboot hit enter and should come up in a usable look.
