I could not browse the Windows network but my Corel Linux PC could be seen from other machines. Network includes a PDC, a BDC and a lot of samba servers (6). You need to install the smbclient package from the debian site. To do that use the Corel update tool and modify the list of available sites by: - Selecting source in the options menu - Make sure that the custom source and the debian web page are selected BY CHECKING THEM on the left side - Update - Go to the available software tab - Select smbclient from net packages - Press upgrade/install package No need to reboot, but restarting samba by typing /etc/init.d/samba restart might be useful should the need arise. The Windows network should be visible now and the mount shares should work also in the file manager. When using the update tool, to speed up the process, you might want to DESELECT the corel site and the CD-Rom temporarly since the Corel site is way too busy. Just make sure to remember you did though. BTW, this is quite an amazing tool that Corel has put together to update the packages. The deb file structure does not hurt either ;-) Have fun!!!
