First thing to try is to recompile the kernel and make sure you added support for your card. If this doesn't work, you can make the eth0 link yourself, or you might want to try this first. check out what Phil Rackus said from corel on the news group how to add ethernet cards. click here. You might need to use your imagination on how to apply this to your specific card.

Try typing sndconfig as root at a console prompt, either in X or not in X, then reload modules, or re-boot
