I have installed Corel Linux, and have my network running and the samba server up, but I cannot browse computers in my network, what can I do?

It seems that the samba client is not included, or the default set up doesn't work for a lot of people. What you can do is install a package named smbclient under available software in Corel Update. It will be under the net heading. If you don't see it, don't worry, you need to add the debian web pages to your Corel Update sources. Go to options, set sources, and click next to the debian web pages (they are already entered for you). If you want to know more, this mail I recieved might help. click here
Correction, smbclient is on the cd, it just doesn't always install, you might need to use corel update for this.

How do I configure corel linux to work with a proxy server and firewall?

I know it can be done, but I do not know how off hand. If anyone knows, please send me an e-mail with the directions. I will give approriate credit.
