I am new to Linux. I downloaded the CL iso and burned the image to CD. I am running win9x/NT. I want to have both OSs on my computer. Can anyone tell me what I need to do next?

The default for the Corel Install is to allow dual boot. It installs a nice graphical front end to the Lilo boot loader. one of the choices it will give you is to boot into windows. So, just boot up either the boot disk, or cd if your system supports it, and enjoy.

My boot disk won't work.

Ok, provided your floppy is a:, Format the floppy in win98, Then go into the tools directory on the CD, and then launch bootflop.bat. Here is another solution too click here

Thanks to Phil Rackus from Corel for this one.

I'm having trouble with my cd... i try to install but it just spits it out. What can I do?

This is a tricky one. Sometimes its your video card or some other hardware problem. Check the Hardware compatibility at linux.corel.com and check to make sure that all of your hardware is there. If something is not, try pulling the card out temporarily and see if it will work without the card. If it does, then you are in luck and can put the card back in after the install. The only drawback is that you will then need to install the hardware yourself.
Another possible reason for this is that cdr's and cdrw's are flakey by nature. What this means is try another burning another cd, or, if that doesn't work, borrow a friends cd drive. My dvd3x has trouble reading burned cd's. Also, my cd gets spit out sometimes when I use it, but other times it doesn't. So don't give up, and just keep trying.

My video card is giving me problems during the install, is there anything I can do?

It sure seems like it. Check out this from Deep Blue. click here.

None of this works, anything else?
