Yes, you most certainly can. Check the X-window-User-HOWTO at the LDP (there's a link in links.)

How do I get my wheel to work on my mouse?

How do I install WP8 for linux?

Ok, first you need to make sure the packages it depends upon are installed. Here is the list: tcl76.deb , tk42.deb, xlib6.deb. You can get these through corel update. Should be under oldlibs. Then download the tarball from the corel web page into /tmp. then tar -xzvf FILENAME.tar.gz (or .tgz). Go into the dir and read the Readme and Install notes. You can type less FILENAME to read txt files. All you need to know should be there, but if not, go to my links page where you will find a link to a wordperfect linux resource page.

If I download a linux program, what version do I want? libc5 or glibc?

Its up to you, if you install the old libraries you can run libc5, but you probably want the glibc

How do I upgrade to glibc and still run wordperfect and other programs that came with corel linux?

An experimental method has been sent to my from Richard Rak. This is not supported by corel, so don't send bug reports to corel. For the instructions, click here. The files are available here.

Note, if you wish to compile after this, you will need to upgrad libc6-dev, and any other -dev packages your code needs from the debian frozen.

I noticed that the kernel headers seem to be missing, or are the wrong version. What can I do?

Here is a solution that was sent to me by Richard Rak. This fix is also unsupported by corel. You can find it here.
